Neuroscience award for better teaching 2018

Neuroscience award for better teaching is a pedagogical prize and award at the Dept. of Neuroscience 2018.

The Dept of Neuroscience bestows an award for distinguished and inspiring teaching within the Dept. of Neuroscience's undergraduate and postgraduate education. A prize of 10,000 Swedish crowns is awarded out at the Neuroscience Day every year.

The Neuroscience teaching award for 2018 is now open for nominations. This year the prize is awarded for pedagogical activities that have developed and improved teaching in the Department of Neuroscience. We welcome nominations especially for younger teachers. The nominee may be either "adjunkt", lector (reader) or professor.

The nomination procedure:

Nominations can be made by anyone employed at the Institution of Neuroscience as well as by students and PhD students who have been taught by employees of the institution.

Nomination criteria: Distinguished, competent and committed teaching achievements. The ability to prepare, develop and deliver teaching which stimulates students development, critical thinking and learning, as well as the implementation of new initiatives and ideas connecting research and education.

The Undergraduate Studies Committee at the Dept. of Neuroscience judges the nominations and elects the winner of the prize.

The prize stipulates that the money is available for buying a computer, literature, conference travel or similar which can be used for the prize-winners work at the Department.

The nomination form for 2018 opens February the 9th and closes Mars 11th 2018.
