Bengt Meyerson


Professor emeritus Bengt Meyerson passed away on Oct 27 after a period of illness. Bengt joined Uppsala University in 1967 and built up a laboratory for behavioral studies at the Department of Pharmacology at the BMC.

He became a professor in medical behavioral science in 1988 and served as chairman for the department. He officially retired in 1998 but continued with research and as a highly appreciated mentor at the Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences until shortly before his death at the age of 82.
