Half-time review

  • The supervisor makes the assessment as to whether a doctoral student is ready for a half-time review seminar.
  • All mandatory courses are to have been completed.
  • The supervisor selects appropriate persons for the examining committee. Names of the proposed members of the examining committee are passed to the Head of Department, who formally appoints them.
  • A summary of the Ph.D. student's work is sent to the members of the examining committee and to other interested parties.
  • The half-time review is announced at the Department and, if relevant, at the clinic where the doctoral student is active.
  • Information about imminent half-time reviews, together with the summary of work, should also be passed on to Eva-Lena Wahlberg.
  • The chairperson of the examining committee is responsible for the minuting of the half-time review. The form may be downloaded from MedFarm's homepage.
  • The examining committee provides advice for the Ph.D. student verbally and in the form of a written summary.
  • Finally, the examining committee approves or to rejects the work presented at the half-time review as a basis for a future Ph.D. thesis.
  • The minutes are given to Eva-Lena Wahlberg for registration in Uppdok. If you have any questions please contact Eva-Lena Wahlberg.
